Time Out

by Stefani on 5-March-2009

We had a great time touring the poultry science facilities at Texas A&M and the ballgame was crazy fun too, but we are ZONKED. So I'll have to tell you about it when I've recovered from all that sun and fun. Nana and Grumpy, if you are reading this morning… thank you so  much for showing our guy (and ALL of us!) such an amazing day. He's going to carry those memories around with him for a very long time.

For our other visitors, I'll return to color week and tell you about our day tomorrow, but until then I have a little something for you.  It was pretty toasty at that ballgame yesterday, which told me that it's high time we made some more bandana pants. And really, considering that we are all having to do our part to make it through these tough economic times, $2 for a pair of summer shorts just can't be beat.

I've updated the PDF instruction sheet for our Bandana Pants in the case that you're looking to make some inexpensive summer shorts too. We have LIVED in ours over the past two summers, and we're looking forward to donning them again.

You can find the new and improved pattern here. The pattern itself has not changed, I just cleaned it up and made it a little easier to follow. Enjoy!

I’m hoping you meant bandana pants 🙂

bwahahahaha!!! That’s what I get for trying to type in my crazy tired state!
I’d better go back and fix that huh?

i love the pants. I’ve made some out of flannel too. thank you so much. Also thanks for the updated pattern page. I am totally printing it on cardstock and putting it in sheet protector. I’ll be making tons of these this summer. Also walmart has bandannas for a buck usually!

I just clicked through the tutorial… super easy to follow!
I will be making these for the summer… love that the ones I make for “the girl” could be easily passed on to “the boy”!!
Looking forward to hearing about your day out!

Oh yeah! So glad you guys had a great day and so glad to see the new and improved bandana pants instruction! I came across your blog too late last summer to make them so I’ve been waiting for warm weather to make them for my boys. Every time I see a bandana at the store I’m reminded! Thanks!

I missed the pre-correction. Were you making banana pants? I’d LOVE to see the tutorial for that!

Awwww, our old stomping grounds (A&M)…what fun! Hope the birthday boy enjoyed the baseball game with all of the fun-spirited heckling that goes on :). Tu so much for visiting me and for your sweet comments…I’m honored you stopped by. Come back any old time! 🙂
