Technical Difficulties

by Stefani on 26-March-2009

Hey Y'all!

I'm so sorry. I really hoped to have the new book for you this morning, but it's going to be late today or even tomorrow morning. It's really really close, but some unforeseen glitches are causing a little delay. I hate that. I really do, and I  hope you'll bear with me.

Until I return, here's a few little things for you:

Here's my Ryder, doing his very best to be quiet and patient while waiting for his baby cousin to wake up already! Baby Collin came for a visit and my boys nearly came out of their ever lovin' skin waiting to smooch him up.

It Takes a Looooong Time for a Baby to Wake Up!

It must be awful nice to have cousins that love you so.

You can see a couple more photos of baby Collin's smoochy goodness on our Flickr photostream

Here's evidence of our freak hailstorm yesterday evening.

Freak Hail Storm

It was pretty crazy! At first, the boys were scared out of their gourds. It was SO loud, all those balls hitting the roof, and kinda freaky how quickly it happened. But once they calmed down a bit, they declared it, "the coolest thing EVER!"

But um, remember those herbs and tomatoes? Not sure they're going to make it. They look pretty battered and bruised.

And last, a little sneak peek at the April book. It's coming together really well, and I just can't wait to share it with you. It's BIG, 7 or 8 pages more than the last, and full of fun stuff to do together. I think you're gonna like it.

Almost all of the illustrations were done in watercolor this time, so they are so bright and cheery. There's butterflies and a little excursion to see Japan's cherry blossoms. There's butterfly identification and rainy day experiments.. And there's pie… honestly, how can you go wrong with pie?

April Book of Days

So again, I"m sorry for the delay, but I promise I'll be back here with lots of goodies for you just as soon as humanly possible. As always, there will be a sweet Mama Kopp giveaway too, so don't miss that!

See you soon!

Lovely babe there! Very cute picture. Yeah, I would be worrying about those herbs and tomatoes especially. Crazy weather…

I haven’t caved in to purchasing the Book of Days yet (my oldest of my three boys is three years old — maybe I should buy them and save them for when they are a little older) but what about that hail?! Freaky! I had just planted my tomatoes that the boys planted from seeds weeks ago yesterday morning, and then the hail. *sigh*

Love the bucket of hail – sorry about the damage to your herbs and tomatoes.

Looking forward to the book!
Now, my question is… will more tomatoes end up in your cart when you head back to the garden center?
I sure hope so. I love the optimism!

Breathe, mama, breathe…everything in it’s time and nothing is worth the stress! I got a dose of what’s really important after hearing from a dear friend that she just got diagnosed with breast cancer this week. She’s 38 with three little ones and now I have another reminder of what’s really important. You’re doing good work, mama! We will patiently await your precious book! Love it!

I have been reading your blog for a long time now, and I am also an avid Cinn roll maker. I had never seen such tiny, cute, thinly rolled little nuggets of love. I made them last night, they are baking right now, and look beautiful.
Thank you for all your words of inspiration. I love this blog.

I could stare at that baby all day too! Love your hail storm picture.
