Swim Suit To Scarves

by Stefani on 25-November-2007

Remember, not too long ago, how I was putting on my brave face, trying not to complain that it seemed the whole world had been given the gift of glorious fall while we Texans were still sweating it out?

Well well well… my how things have changed.

This, was during our camping trip. It was taken on Tuesday, when it was 84 degrees.

Only Just Last Wednesday

This, was taken moments ago in our backyard, where it is a whopping 48 degrees. An exact flip flop of digits, in only a matter of days.

Cold Today

I guess it goes without saying that my head is spinning a little as I dig through boxes and try to find our wayward gloves.

It’s like that here too – 95 degrees 10 days ago and 65 degrees now with lows in the 40’s. Unfortunately, my kids have no pants that fit anymore so I guess we need to stock up.

Wow! That’s a bit of a shock to the system! We, on the other hand, need to be prepare well in advance with snow boots, coats, hats and gloves bought before October!!!

wow, talk about 180s! ;^)

i prefer my transitional seasons to be nice and long, but fall seemed really short this year here, too. :^(

I was driving all over the place trying to find coats for the kids this weekend. Last week I was thinking to myself that maybe we don’t need coats, that sweatshirts will do… I was wrong. But next week I’m sure we’ll be back in shorts!

BlueYonderGirl, I discovered your blog over the weekend, and how inspired I am by your beautiful perspective, your words, your images, and the things you do with your boys!

It is glorious summer here now ~ good luck with the cold over there ~ winter is still something I have to convince myself to appreciate. 🙂
