Good Friday Morning, y'all!

I have a little weekend giveaway from one of our sweet sponsors today!

Julie Alvarez of Visual Art is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Her world seems so full of color and vibrance, and she captures that spirit so well in her photos. I'm just drawn to them. One look, and I'm ready to hop a plane to Buenos Aires. Her work is so moving, yet so simple. She has a real eye for capturing the beauty in an every day kind of life.

Lucky for us, Julie is offering a Blue Yonder reader the chance to choose any print in her shop!

All you have to do to win is pop over, take a look around, then come back and tell me which print you'd most like to hang on your wall. I'll pick a winner on Sunday night and make the announcement here on this post. Good luck everyone, and happy weekend to you!

Sorry, our contest has ended. Come back next weekend for more giveaway fun!

This weeks winner of a print of her choice from Visual Art is Kelly who said,

"If i could choose just one (not easy) it would have to be "He got me a flower" — it would always remind me to be grateful for the simple things and for talented Brazilian photographers!"  Well amen to that!

Congratulations, Kelly! And thanks everyone for playing along!

Colleen April 3, 2009 at 5:50 am

What a fun journey! “SHE HAS GLAMOUR” seemed to be shouting out to me. Start your day the bright, sunshiney way….that’s what it was saying.

I love “nature twins”. Reminds me of collecting those gumballs as a child.

Jennifer V April 3, 2009 at 7:19 am

shhh..the fairies are sleeping would be my pick. I love trees, maybe it comes from having a severe shortage of trees here on the prairies! I love your blog by the way, and read it everyday.

Donna April 3, 2009 at 7:22 am

What a hard choice…….The Hands of Nature won out though………..

Sarah April 3, 2009 at 7:27 am

I guess it’s cheating to say I would take any and all of them. I like the “Shh…the fairies are sleeping” that you posted above and also “Falling for the City.”

golden April 3, 2009 at 7:36 am

Oh, yes, those flowering trees would look lovely hanging on the wall in front on my computer!

Cassandra April 3, 2009 at 7:39 am

Carrie @ Between Hitching Posts April 3, 2009 at 8:11 am

It’s a toss up I like “He gave me a flower” & “Fairies also live in parks”. They are both so lovely & make me excited for the warmer weather that is just around the corner. Hopefully I win. Then I will have the task of choosing.

Erica April 3, 2009 at 8:12 am

In Total Silence.
Wow, her pieces are beautiful. Thanks for sharing her work with us. I’ve bookmarked her shop. I love so many of them!

Fiona April 3, 2009 at 8:15 am

She walked with me is beautiful…

Kim April 3, 2009 at 8:18 am

I’m in love with IN TOTAL SILENCE. Pick me! Pick me! (as the daisies would say).

Stacy April 3, 2009 at 8:25 am

My faveorites were the dream awake one (the street one with all the lights wild and crazy) or the sidewalk one. Mr. Wiedz did some work in BA last summer/fall so I think either one would be a wonderful way to recognize that time of our lives. Especially the crazy dream awake one.

Tara April 3, 2009 at 8:52 am

In total silence, or the tangerines at the market. Love those. Our walls are bare!

RhubarbSky April 3, 2009 at 9:00 am

brit April 3, 2009 at 9:28 am

these giveaways where you have to decide what you want…they are so hard! I think I’ll have to go with Peace….I’m almost positive…

Lisa@The Cutting Edge of Ordinary April 3, 2009 at 9:32 am

I love IN TOTAL SILENCE. I have a thing for dasies.

debbieR April 3, 2009 at 9:43 am

Wow, I am ready to but about 9 of these prints…the way the color pops is just so delicious!!!
For the moment the one called…I think it was called…SHE HAS GLAMOUR! Thr Orange gerber daisy it reminds me of my son, he is my flower child, always picking flowers for his mommy. He goes to a mother’s day out program really just to be around other children and his teachers tell me that because he is always picking me flowers the entire class now also picks flowers. There is however, one difference, by the end of the day the other children have forgotten about their flowers, but Zade, holds tightly-fingers gripped around his dear little flower for mommy! IT is so very special!!! I love my little flower child. 🙂

Becky April 3, 2009 at 9:48 am
