It’s a Wrap!

Finally Fall

Hi y'all!

I hope that you've all had a wonderful week. We've been hard at work around here finishing up the new autumn edition of our Book of Days. Of course it was torture for the boys, what with all the recipe testing and game playing and craftiness.

Work. work. work.

At long last though, we are ready to share a whole bunch of fall family fun with you. Read all about it, and get in the running for another gorgeous, sweet, inspired Mama Kopp prize at over at the Ranch.

Next week I'll be back to my regularly scheduled blathering on about boys and dogs, pie  and slow-cookers, and of course  this insanely glorious season. Do you know what our high is expected to be tomorrow?

Sixty. Seven!

Sweet, holy heck. Let me say it again. Sixty SEVEN!

I don't think we've seen sixty degree temperatures since, … um…. what, February? I might have to set up a tent in the backyard, just so I don't miss a single minute. Or better yet, a teepee, surely it's time to bust out the teepee!

See you Monday, folks and have a great weekend!

we’ve been in the 80s all week! Hooray!! It’s supposed to go back to the low 90s for a few days, but I think we’re done with truly hot (crossing fingers). Bring on fall!

Ugh, so jealous of your weather! We’ve been in the 90’s all week with a bazillion percent humidity. I feel like I’m melting!!

It’s currently 8 degrees (that’s with the wind chill) here in Montana. I would LOVE to come hang out in 67 degree weather!

I’ll trade you weather anytime! We’re suppossed to get 2 ” of snow here in the midwest this weekend!

Stefani October 9, 2009 at 12:59 pm

Oh my! 8 degrees??? I’m not sure I’ve EVER experienced 8 degrees!
Stay warm up there!

Stefani October 9, 2009 at 12:59 pm

It was 94 here just a few days ago, so hang tight friend, it’s coming for you too!

Well that’s just crazy talk 🙂 Snow? In October?
I can’t even imagine. If you added up all the snow we’ve had in the past, probably 6 years at least, I don’t think you’d come close to 1 inch, let alone 2 all at once.

I don’t think we even hit 70 today – and that is a beautiful thing. I have been longing for fall since…well, since last fall.

i think i would trade you some of the heat for a little of the white stuff. we awoke to snow this morning and our girls were through the roof excited! i wasn’t and said after halloween is still too early for me. love your sketching by the way.

I just downloaded my very first Book of Days. Why haven’t I don’t this sooner?! I am in love with it. My kids brought a pile of mushrooms indoors just last week and I had no idea what to do with them beyond poke, prod, and name parts. Thank you for the ideas in your book!
I posted a link on my Facebook page in hopes that it brings some Fall inspiration into my friend’s lives as well.

Yeah but … not to be a total spoilsport … I’m not actually complainin’ … but … it’s been raining. I think we need both the sunshine AND the sixty seven degree weather to coexist on the very same day — then we get to officially call it insanely glorious.
Just my .02.

But we did have a fire in the fireplace!

oh my goodness. i could never handle your texas weather…

I’m a total fall/spring (even winter) girl!

Is that cold for you or warm? It’s been chilly here in Missouri…unseasonable 40’s got the high!

Melissa @ Oursuburbanhomestead October 16, 2009 at 5:55 pm

Sorry, I’m just amazed at your temperature listing. We had a high of 41 today and we’re supposed to have some snow mix tonight. Brr Cleveland. (I just realized this may be the first time I posted on your site and it’s about the weather.)
