Bright Hope for Tomorrow

by Stefani on 28-June-2007

Blue skies today! WAHOOOOOOOO! It was a good, oh, 4 seconds of gorgeousness before those fluffy white cottonballs turned bruise colored and dropped their goods on us again.

No matter. We’ve no to time to run around outside anyway. There’s still work to be done indoors.

I pulled every blessed thing out of our bedroom closet, and set to sorting again.

My little cowpoke was pretty well convinced that his mama had lost her mind, making a mess like that. So he decided to do me the kindness of shooting me, to end my misery.

When I asked him to come sit in my lap and snuggle a while, he told me, “Cowboys don’t snug!” Of course not. What was I thinking?

MAJOR progress was made in our yard today too, thanks to my Dad and his landscaping crew. We accidentally disturbed a little family of cardinals along the way though. I do so hope that Mama and Papa Cardinal come back for this little one.

So, lots of headway was made, one more Diet Coke-free day under my belt (OH the aching head!). There just might be a light at the end of this long tunnel.

And perhaps, next week, I’ll even have something more interesting than the contents of our closets to talk about. UGH! If I’m boring you, take heart, I’m boring myself too. Soon… soon we move past this cleaning nonsense and on to better things!

I love the way you tell your daily stories it really puts a smile on my face, and as to the ‘giving up coke’ I really admire you for that, I have tried to wean myself off also, but I am doing it the ‘one day on and two day off’ routine, eventually I will put more and more days in between, as I get used to not having it!!…I’ll look foward to reading your progress – Good luck – luv happy x
