Baby It’s Cold Outside

by Stefani on 24-November-2007

Ella Fitzgerald is singing, “Baby It’s Cold Outside”.

The vintage poinsettia tablecloth is spread.

Christmas Table

The peppermint candle is lit. (Mama? Do you smell candy canes somewhere?)

The new (old) mugs are full of hot chocolate.

On my lap is a stack of old December issues of Martha Stewart Kids, Living and Real Simple.

Meanwhile, my guys are staring, quietly, and dreaming up stories about boys who shrink and live in the snow village. Our sweet Nana adds to our village each year at Thanksgiving… this year we have a new barn, so our shrunken boys are considering woodland rides 🙂

Nana's Houses

So, even though it’s dreary, drizzly and cold out, it is warm and cheery inside.

Of course, it isn’t just Christmas cheer that’s got us grinning…

It could also have something to do with our Aggies’ victory over the horns.

Hope you’re cozy and finding lots of reasons to smile today too 🙂

I grew up in College Station – so Gig ’em Aggies! I have to admit getting a bit of a thrill when I saw the football scores last night. 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Go Aggies!

We’re going to set up everything tonight and pretend that it’s gloomy outside. Yours looks beautiful.

Boy, this post alone could put me in the holiday mood! I love those old hot chocolate mugs. I know I’m boring, but I just love the time of year that keeps everyone inside together—always have…
