Today, I'm joining a host of remarkable women who are contributing to the "Summer Is" series over on UncommonGrace. Pop on over and check it out!
Believe me, Grace's summer series is just the thing that I've needed, to stave off the wave of whining that's been threatening to wash over these parts.
I have reached my melting point.
It has been over 100 degrees (F) here for 46 days this summer. My car's gauge said 106 today. I feel like a slug, heavy and slow, hoping only for a dark, cool, damp place in which to lie dormant until the leaves begin to fall.
Unfortunately, we won't have anything even approaching autumnal weather until around about October, so I will just have to do my very best to join Grace in celebrating the wonders of summer while it
goes on for freaking forever
I will tell myself what I already know to be true: that this is the time, the time to savor and save up all that summer has to offer.
And really, if you can look past the hellish heat, it's pretty dang delicious 🙂
