Summer Book 2 Is In the Shop!

by Stefani on 7-August-2009

Happy happy Friday to you all!

I'm so excited to FINALLY be able to say that we have finished the second edition of our Summer Book of Days series. We hope that it's just in time to help you and your family squeeze every last drop of fun out of the remaining weeks of summer, and keep you smiling right into the fall!

Pool Party

As always, the Book of Days is chock full fun stuff for you to do together! There are lots of tasty recipes , new things to learn about the natural world, science discoveries, crafts and art endeavors, games to play, ways to reach out to your community and thoughts on savoring the fleeting days of childhood. It's good old fashioned fun for families.

So cool! I just purchased Book 1. I can’t wait to check it out. Loved the video on your shop site. I have 2 boys and a lot of that looked familiar. Good luck on the book!

Yay! I have to say, we are pretty much obsessed with the license plate game from the first summer book. We’ve colored in 36 states so far! It seems that pretty much everyone comes to Vermont on vacation in the summer.

I always waiver between impatient stamping of my feet and wonder at your boys. Impatient because teaching my boys Go Fish ended in tears all around (apparently they thought there would be fishing rods…and fish involved) and I can’t wait for them to play checkers! And wonder because I know we are only a season or two behind, and then the book of days and all your fun projects will be with in our grasp..it’s like daydreaming about someone else’s life…and it’s warm there..:)

I was just checking our your recipe section (for the everyday bread recipe – thanks!) and read your yogurt post. I’m going to make yogurt tomorrow but I use Alton Brown’s recipe (from the food network). I also make it with raw (whole) milk and don’t heat it any higher than 120 to retain all the good stuff – heating it higher kills good bacteria also as well as vitamins, etc. I know there are lots of places to read all about that but I encourage you to try making it with milk rather than all powder to make it even better for you! 🙂

I’m not sure if you’re into that sort of thing, but if so, you have an award over at my blog!

I love both summer editions of the book of days! My daughter and I are now starting our fish a day, and we are enjoying a large stack of ocean themed books from the library. I will let those settle in before I move on to beetles. I hesitated buying the books for months, I think May was the first I purchased because I thought I can do that. Thank you for making such an affordable fun activity book. My family love it!

Adorable drawings. This is my first time here so I’m not familiar with the books but I have two boys and must go check it out!
