Sponsor Giveaway :: Songbird Soaps

by Stefani on 24-April-2009

Happy Friday Friends!

I have a very special place in my heart for yummy candles and soaps… really, I feel that one can never have too many of either.

When I go romping around the shops in little towns and out of the way places with my mom, I never fail, EVER, to bring home either soap, or a candle, or both…. and maybe some Pyrex, but that's a whole 'nuther story.

Anyhow, knowing my weakness for the smell goods, you can imagine my delight in having a sponsor who lovingly crafts and creates the most delicious soaps and candles – Songbird Soaps

Il_fullxfull.60130394

I think her studio must smell like heaven on earth, don't you?

Songbird artisan, Ansley, has generously offered up TWO prizes for Blue Yonder readers in this weekend's sponsor giveaway.

The first winner will receive a whole coconut soy candle.

Il_fullxfull.33631429

This reminds me so much of my honeymoon in Maui. I don't see us going back anytime soon, but I'm thinking that if Mr. Blue Yonder and I could share a fruity drink over a candle like this one, I just might be able to close my eyes and hear the ocean.

You know Mother's Day is right around the corner. I may have to lobby for a mini maui vacation via coconut candle.

The second winner will get to pick out three songbird soaps of her choice.

Il_fullxfull.51672272

You will have to try your hardest to resist eating them with a spoon though, because really they are just so dang delicious looking, aren't they? I think a nice little soak with some lovely scented goodness might make a nice Mother's Day mini getaway too.

All you have to do to be entered into our Songbird Soaps giveaway is run over to their shop, browse around a little, then come back and leave a comment here on this post, telling me what struck your fancy.

I'll close the comments late Sunday night and announce a winner, on this post, on Monday.

Good luck everyone, and happy weekend to you!

Sorry – this contest is now closed.

And the winners are…..

Jennifer V. who said "mmmm…it would have to be the pine scented candle, that smell reminds me of my honeymoon kayaking on Canada's West Coast."

And also, Kobey who said, "Lemongrass & Ginger soap sounds wonderful. Insect repellent that smells good and an energy boost – awesome. All the soaps look beautiful."

Congratulations ladies! And thank you so much to Songbird Soaps!

Magical Mint Soap. I mean, really, who could go wrong with something like that in their bathroom?

Lavender mini-soaps for my bathroom….heavenly!

Sarah M April 24, 2009 at 2:17 pm

I am a sucker for soaps…especially ones that have “grits” in them…as I like to call it. Of course, with that being said, Songbird’s Lavendar and Oats struck my fancy!

Lemon-lime soy candle, all the way. I can’t imagine not feeling happy if that’s what I’m smelling! Like a popsicle in summer.

Christine April 24, 2009 at 8:26 pm

You have put up a giveaway for my true weaknesses. They look so good too. I would probably pick geranium with carrot seeds for the soap even though the lavendar with oats sounds yummy too. And the candle, I would pick the peppermint candle. :)

Janet April 24, 2009 at 9:11 pm

Magical mint soap would be my pick! Candle in a coconut, very cool!

My favorite thing about her shop is the LOVE that is put into each project. Her bio says it all! The product shows all the love and I am sure you can feel it in the bath!

Bio
I enjoy the whole process of making soap, from preparing the area, to mixing the oils, base and essential, pouring the soap mixture into the molds, and finally cutting and packaging each soap bar.
Whether making soap or candles, each batch is made with much care and love.

That coconut candle looks lovely – as does the idea of being transported off to a tropical haven!

I like the lavender oats soap. Those oats sound like they would make cleaning up after being in the garden much nicer.

I’m with you-candles and soap. You can’t go wrong. We keep a cabinet full for times when we need an instant gift. Lavender is my all time favorite, but I bet pine would be great in the winter.
