Happy Friday Friends!
I have a very special place in my heart for yummy candles and soaps… really, I feel that one can never have too many of either.
When I go romping around the shops in little towns and out of the way places with my mom, I never fail, EVER, to bring home either soap, or a candle, or both…. and maybe some Pyrex, but that's a whole 'nuther story.
Anyhow, knowing my weakness for the smell goods, you can imagine my delight in having a sponsor who lovingly crafts and creates the most delicious soaps and candles – Songbird Soaps.
I think her studio must smell like heaven on earth, don't you?
Songbird artisan, Ansley, has generously offered up TWO prizes for Blue Yonder readers in this weekend's sponsor giveaway.
The first winner will receive a whole coconut soy candle.
This reminds me so much of my honeymoon in Maui. I don't see us going back anytime soon, but I'm thinking that if Mr. Blue Yonder and I could share a fruity drink over a candle like this one, I just might be able to close my eyes and hear the ocean.
You know Mother's Day is right around the corner. I may have to lobby for a mini maui vacation via coconut candle.
The second winner will get to pick out three songbird soaps of her choice.
You will have to try your hardest to resist eating them with a spoon though, because really they are just so dang delicious looking, aren't they? I think a nice little soak with some lovely scented goodness might make a nice Mother's Day mini getaway too.
All you have to do to be entered into our Songbird Soaps giveaway is run over to their shop, browse around a little, then come back and leave a comment here on this post, telling me what struck your fancy.
Sorry – this contest is now closed.
And the winners are…..
Jennifer V. who said "mmmm…it would have to be the pine scented candle, that smell reminds me of my honeymoon kayaking on Canada's West Coast."
And also, Kobey who said, "Lemongrass & Ginger soap sounds wonderful. Insect repellent that smells good and an energy boost – awesome. All the soaps look beautiful."
Congratulations ladies! And thank you so much to Songbird Soaps!

I am all about the soaps. Rosemary Mint Soap.
Mmmmm, they sound so yummy. I like the sound of the lemongrass and ginger soap or the lavendar and oats soap. And the candles are beautiful.
I’m a coconut lover and a candle lover; so both of the coconut sizes look great to me! And the mini-soaps are really cute! I could see a basket full in a bathroom.
magical mint soap…yum
Definitely falling for the soap bars… lavender oats would be my first one.
Oh I hope I win! I have no electricity and I need a bath!
Just kidding. My fav is the coconut candle for sure! That’s really creative!
The candle in the coconut caught my eye right away! Cute and original – I have a perfect for it in my bathroom!
Yum! I’m loving the Magical Mint. I’ve been obsessed with mint lately in my cooking – I had never really tried it in anything else but dessert before now. And now that I’ve read her description maybe it is because I’m seeking a little relaxation and escape by dinnertime
Now I could take my escape to the washroom as well! Mint…mint…mint!
I am ALL OVER the coconut candles…
I’m loving the lavender spray, I can just see myself spritzing everyone and everything in the house.
Thanks!
I love rosemary and mint together…yum!
What is not to like…fantastic shop to browse. Love the coconut candle and the lavendar spray…yummy!
I always look for the handmade soaps and candle makers at our local farmer’s market! They are wonderful in any flavor
! What a neat idea for the coconut candle!
Rosemary mint hands down!
those mini soaps are too cute! also, the geranium with carrot seed soap sounds so interesting.
We honeymooned in Maui, too. Snorkeling there is my ‘happy thought’, remembering it always relaxes me.
Which is also the effect I would hope for with my favourite item, the lavender spray. Just a bit of easy relaxation.
I just bought my very first soy candle. OH my. I had no idea what I was missing!
I love the orange candle and the clove one!
OOH! They all look yummy, and I wish I could smell them through the screen. Lavendar, clove, orange-tangerine, pine–They all must be delicious.
Ohhhhh, the smells must be amazing….right now I’m soaping up with a locally made goat’s milk that smells….hmm, well it smells okay. I could use soemthing yummier smelling.
Maybe if I’m lucky enough to win I could imagine I’m honeymooning somewhere exotic….I am sad to say my honeymoon (nearly 10 years ago) was spent in….drum roll please…..Narragnesett Rhode Island, certainly a lovely place but not Maui!
Happy Friday!
Wish the my screen was a “scratch and sniff” those mini-soaps are so tweeeet!
The candles are beautiful!
I love the coconut shell soy candles…and I adore soap, something fresh and zesty like rosemary mint, and for relaxing…lavender with oats. Yum!
Mmm.. handmade soap, one of my favourite simple pleasures.
Love the candles the colors are beautifully done. The tall ones with the color streaks is really cool. The coconut that also smells like a coconut. Awesome!.

Wow! they look so beautiful. I don’t have the sense of smell (I know… weird? huh?) never have… so for me is all eyes and touch. I think the coconut soy candle (haven’t tried soy candles yet) look so nice and smooth, relaxing!
