I guess Sea World sucked the juice right out of us, because we are ALL having a tough time working up the drive to do much of anything past staying in our pajamas and rotting our brains with sugar and TV.
They: The Brave Little Toaster and Tom & Jerry.
Me: Miss Potter (LOVE!)
He: You Tube
And what’s better than movie night popcorn? Movie night popcorn covered in nuts, cranberries and chocolate!
This recipe is adapted from one in the latest Southern Living:
1 bag of butter flavored microwave popcorn. Popped, extra kernals removed.
1 cup salted mixed nuts
1 cup dried cranberries
1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips, melted in the microwave.
Mix it all up, and spread it on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Pop it in the fridge for a while until it hardens.
Warning: Have wipes or wet rags on hand when eating. Warm little hands do a good job of melting the chocolate and getting it on every surface in a 10 mile radius.
As it turns out though, mamas are capable, even in a vegetative state, to multitask. I can wipe those grubby fingers, watch a movie, eat popcorn, AND accomplish a whoppin’ load of these:
Now back to my impersonation of broccoli.

saw miss potter last night, oh it was so good. i also notice you like ruthie foster, love her!
Yum! That looks good… and I think a day out in the sun usually wears the brain to a bit of a puddle. Like mine, today.
No sun though–just summer thinking, which is always so strange!
That looks so du-lisus (as my 2 1/2yr old says). Might have to nibble some ourselves to get us through these cold, wet Winter days + nights. Just wanted to say that you do definately deserve a medal for your Sea World adventure. We had a standing-in line festival adventure today, I feel like I deserve something! Have fun lazing + recovering.
That popcorn looks so yummy! I was raised on popcorn and m&ms. My kids love it, but my husband doesn’t get it. Are those granny squares in a vintage suitcase? I just moved my felted wool projects to an old suitcase – the lining looks exactly the same. Happy vegging, cooking and creating!
sounds like a perfect night to me!
I must make some popcorn sometime soon… this sounds delicious!
Oh how I love your broccoli!!
I wouldn’t mind a little of these every night over dinner. Or maybe afterwards, as a nice dessert treat.
Also can’t wait to see Miss Potter.
