…. there are a couple of essential bits to know.
1. They go BONKERS if you don’t crack the eggs very very carefully. You see, they have plans for them.
2. You have to wear a hat. It isn’t really so much about hygiene. It’s all about style. I know this because while the hat is essential, pants are entirely optional.
Oh my.

Maybe pants should be optional for everything we do. Oh wait, that could be considered lewd on my part as a commenter. My apologies. I am not creepy, I promise.
i am doing that with eggs TODAY!! yet, more inspiration from you, stefani. i love it!!
I had to reply to your post today. I can totally relate to the cooking ensembles. I never thought I would hear myself say, “You must have on at least undies to cook”
I’ve been reading along for a bit but this is my first comment. Just wanted to say hi and I love your blog. Plus, that is an adorable picture! Have a great weekend!
“pants are entirely optional”
Then I am grateful you took that last shot from above….
Love the egg planters!!!
hee hee! so cute!
Holy moly…that’s exactly how my little chef cooks. Hat, apron, & usually pantless. I have the virtually the same pic.
This is the complete opposite of Jack, who takes the egg in his fist and SMASHES it against the counter. LOL
(Maybe we should try growing some grass in an eggshell…)
I adore that hat. So awesome. Pants are usually optional in this house too. Totally unnecessary most of the time.
Ooo… what a great idea! What are you guys growing in your eggs?
Okay, Heather’s comment above cracked me up so much. I have said that! There are so many unexpected “rules” that we come up with on the spot, eh?
The hat, divine. So divine that I’m sure no one will mind the bare legs.
Anna
And what wonderful plans they have for those eggs!!
Ok, this is the second blog this week I’ve seen with grass growing in eggs, I need to try this!
And I love the last one too, sounds like my kiddo running around naked but wearing a knitted beanie hat
What a fabulous blog! I had so much fun reading.

I thought it was just my little ones who thought pants were optional. Bit scary, actually, to think about what is in the food they’re cooking – what with no pants, and the tasting of everything over and over again, licking fingers and spoons, and sometimes needing to pick noses – and going and washing hands all over again.
I do love those little grass eggs – we’ll have to try that.
Hey! Found you randomly in flickr…aren’t you just the greatest? :0) Love your photos.
Coming out of lurkdom to tell you that I *heart* your blog and I HAVE to do this with our eggs with my kiddos! Thank you for your inspiration to those of us in the trenches!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! My boy’s learning to crawl and likes to do it better without pants, too. We haven’t tried the hat thing, though. : )
pants are always optional at our house…or maybe i should say that for the four & under set they are never preferred…me i prefer them for myself but i love to see the little undies & diapers sticking out from underneath their shirts…if they are wearing shirts, that is…:)
Oh my goodness. I just stumbled across your blog tonight, and am so glad I did. I will consider it a daily read from now on. I love your writing style and all of our magnificent photos. Thank you for sharing tidbits of your beautiful life.
And no pants? Sounds just like my younger boy.
