Print Out Some Halloween Giggles

by Stefani on 21-October-2009

noBODY

My boys are way into jokes right now. Knock- knocks, riddles, puns… the sillier the better.

My favorite part is the "get it?" that follows each and every joke that they tell. "What do birds give out for Halloween, mama?"

"I don't know, what?"

"Tweets!!!! Get it?"

So, just for fun, I rustled up a few Halloween jokes and drew some funny little illustrations to go with them. I'm going to cut them up and slip them into their lunch boxes next week.

Remember Laffy Taffy? Well this is Laffy Corn. What could be better than rotting your teeth and tickling your funny bone at the same time? Not much!

Treat Bags

I thought maybe I'd share them with you all too. All twelve ghastly giggles are available on one handy little sheet that you can  download here

Cut 'em up and send a few laughs in your little's lunchbox, use them as tags on Halloween treat bags, or print out a whole bunch to pass out  on the big night.

Light Snack

Get it?

Oh, sweet! We can use these at our lil’ Halloween party! Thanks so much for sharing; the kids will love them. 🙂

Hahaha those are great! I’m gonna send them with the kids! Thanks for that!

My boy does that too – “get it?”

LOVE.

These are great! My son loves telling jokes and needs to add a couple to his routine.

My sweet boy is TRYING to get it to jokes, but doesn’t “get it” yet. We got some cute Halloween joke books from the library and I find myself spending 10 minutes on each one explaining 🙂 I can’t wait until it clicks.

too cute!! my son and I just looked up the downloads….we laughed this morning!

My family loves knock knock jokes. My daughter thinks that the jokes are simply situational, as in
“knock knock”
Who’s there?
“(some noun that she can see from where she stands)” Noun who?
“Noun aren’t you glad I didn’t say (another random word)”

My son just copies her, but as he doesn’t speak fully yet, he just shouts with excitement, and uses less words…

What do Witches use in their hair??

ScareSpray! Get it? get it mom?

I got this one on the way to school this morning!

Thanks for sharing. These will be replacing the daily Calvin Hobbes comic I put in my son’s lunchbox.

Lunch boxes? For where? Did I miss something?

Why did the skeleton burp in church?

He didn’t have the guts to fart.

Boys love the farty humor, you know. 😉

Stefani October 22, 2009 at 10:17 am

Ha! No, you didn’t miss anything. I make their lunches a few times a week while they’re eating breakfast. It’s just easier to get the kitchen messy once!
Oh lord yes, my boys will LOVE that one. Nothing makes them smile more than poop and farts. Boys! I think I’ll let them do the illustrating on that one 🙂

My Ryder does that exact same thing with the random knock knocks. He also asks makes up weird reasons for the chicken to cross the road… to get some chicken nuggets, to play Legos, to go to the park… then he just laughs himself silly, and we all laugh at him, so he thinks he’s made a really funny joke. I love that!

Cute! I think the name also applies to the crispy, goopy stuff that we used to create those nifty waterfall bangs of ours in the 80s 🙂 Scary indeed!

Love it! My 6 year old has been obsessed with riddles and jokes lately. Can’t wait to give these too her!

christie October 22, 2009 at 1:17 pm

“Knock Knock”
“Who’s there?”
“Little old lady”
“Little old lady who?”
“I didn’t know you could yodel”

Knock-knocks are a big deal around here too. I am going to take your suggestion and print those for the lunchbox!
