I don’t talk a whole lot here about my better half for a few reasons, namely that he’s kind of private and it would embarrass the holy heck out of him were I to blather on about how great we all think he is.
Today though, I’m just going to have to give you a little peek at our Papa. Just a little one, mind you. It can’t be helped. I’m just so dang proud of him.
Y’all hear an awful lot here about what the boys and I are up to – - our passions and learning endeavors, projects and ideas. So, I thought it would be fun to round out the picture a little and show you what it is that Mr. Blue Yonder does all day. The following video was made for a camera website that ran a feature on his aerial videography work.
Needless to say, the boys are very interested in one day taking up their place in the family business.

You’re right, we did go through a rough patch when the economy and hence his job in sales went south. It was so disheartening at the time, but has ended up being such a blessing. It is really so neat to see him get to be truly passionate about what he does and just loving his job. I think it’s a real testament to our boys in so many ways.
Interesting; I’ve never seen this before. Now I understand how movies can provide some of the cool shots they do!
It’s all pretty new, Kika. In years past it has taken a real helicopter or expensive cranes and such to get shots like the ones he can get with his RC rig, so production companies are really excited about what he’s doing. An interesting note – a similar set up was used to get some of the flight shots in at least one of the Harry Potter movies.

That’s really cool! I think the crummy economy has a lot of us inspired to find a new path, I hope some good can come out of it for a lot more people too.
Thank you for solving one of my dilemmas – how do they do that! I am always distracting myself during movies wondering how they got those spectacular shots. Very cool, I want to be part of the family business too!
