Lucky for you to have those beautiful fall days to enjoy (it's snowed here twice already). We too enjoy preserving the things we find on walks and have been using contact paper on both sides of the leaves. Then, the boys hang them in the window, sort of like stained glass projects. Now I'm thinking we should try the cardstock and keep a collection in a binder...

I was trying to figure out how to keep the leaves intact, too. I think we'll be trying some contact paper, too. We desperately need a nature table overhaul, as ours has months of collections on it and looks like a cluttered mess from summer. Maybe that will be my task today....

I'm glad for you that you have some wonderful weather to enjoy after sweltering through the summer. Your temps now are like our summer temps, and now my children are going stir-crazy from being stuck inside on too many rainy, blustery days.

Thanks for your continuing enthusiasm and joy for life. It helps pick me up through the grumpy times.

Your table looks fabulous! Does the contact paper keep the color intact, too, or just the shape?

Thanks for the link to my gallery. So much inspiration out there!
