Yeah, so I thought I’d have all these wonderful posts about the ridiculous amount of blessings in my life, photos of candlelit dinners, golden turkey skin, even the breaking of the wishbone, but instead… I put the camera down, turned the computer off, and just enjoyed.
Today, the Christmas decorations come down from the attic, the leftover feast begins, the Aggies whoop up on the Horns, all those lists of “must dos” wait just one more day.
So until then, friends, I hope that you are soaking in the warmth and joy of the season as well. And I hope that in lieu of laden Thanksgiving table shots, you’ll accept these photos from our camping trip early this week.
I’ll be back here tomorrow, with new stories to tell, and anxious to hear yours as well!

Funny, I experienced the same thing. Thought at the beginning of the month I would post many great and astounding observations on life’s abundant blessings. So I registered for the NaBloPoMo and I LOST it a long time ago
What’s that? Aggies whoop up on Horns? I don’t think so. Go Horns!!!!
Yep. I think there were many drop outs yesterday. I did work on my random post last night and got it up today. Thanks for tagging me.
Beautiful photos accepted. I too thought I would have pictures of a candlelit dinner, empty wine bottles and blobs of cranberry sauce staining my linens, but I didn’t even pick up the camera last night. I just sat and enjoyed the fruits of our labor and the joy of our family. You guys are still camping? In late November? It was so cold here last night I just put my stock pot with turkey carcass outside. I figured it was colder out there than in my fridge.
nooooo! I was so sure we would win that trip to hawaii together with five boys….dang it.

Good for you. It’s quite an exhausting challenge methinks!
that is exactly where i am now, too. enough of the writing about life and more living the life.
That game had me so tense but I loved the outcome! WHOOP! Gig ‘Em, Aggies! Check out my blog for a pic of my 2 favorite Ags.
Love that top photo!
I’ve experienced this myself—when you must just be in the moment rather than outside looking in. Enjoy…
Beautiful photos, dear, and just as appropriate and full of thanks as turkey skin and pumpkin pie.
now that looks like my kind of camping trip.
