Thanks y’all, for all the kind words for my boy, and about my computer issues. Too bad antibiotics won’t work on the computer, cuz they’re workin’ wonders for the boy.
My little man was still feeling pretty punky yesterday morning though.
You know how it is right? You start to feel better, so you think you can get up and eat and play and RUN with your brothers. Then, your body reels you back to reality. You collapse in a heap of tears because you are just. so. tired. of feeling bad. Poor kid.
He was in a serious bad mood until a little boy from down the street, brought over this:
(The note says: Dear Luke, I am so sorry that you have strep throat. I hope that you are better soon. Sage”)
Maybe it’s the vitamin C injection that perked him up, but I think it had a lot to do with another kind of medicine: kindness. My little man just grinned and grinned and ate those oranges, one by one.
The he said, “Sage is a really good friend, huh?”
Yeah. He really is.
Do I have to tell you what it does to this Mama’s heart, to see my sick little fella finally smiling, basking in the kindness shown by a buddy?
No. I didn’t think I did.

That’s the best medicine of all! Glad he’s on the road to recovery.
We’re just tickled that he’s feeling better.
that is the sweetest thing. i hope we can teach our kids to be the kind of friends Sage is.
That totally made me tear up. Like a Hallmark commercial. Love it.
So sweet…I hope health returns to your home…it sound like you are on your way.
Too, too sweet. To be and to recognize good friends at such a tender age! Beautiful. And kudos to the mamas of both boys. (and papas).
my lizzie has an earache now (third one in three months),we were up all night with her screaming. never in my life have i heard a kid just scream and moan like that. awful!!! hoping she will feel better today, she is spending the morning with grandma and the afternoon with daddy (i have to work today, unfortunately, my mom says she is happily drinking juice from her special glass and has the tv all to herself)
anyway, two things: i see amos lee over on your sideline, a favorite of mine! and i am currently reading the “eat pray love” book and so many funny parts remind me of you, just your funny writing style. just thought i’d let you know i am thinking of ya!
So sweet! Kids can be so sweet to one another at times. I just posted about that myself. Makena was given flowers by her little boyfriend Gage. It’s such a beautiful day we planted them today!

I’m crossing my fingers that my daughter doesn’t have strep right now, too!
