Hi, I just came for a visit. My husband and I and three of our children 9,7,1 went for a three week trip to Japan and we LOVED it. I was also wondering if we would starve or only eat raw fish but we loved the food, the people and the culture. The prices were high but everything about our trip was perfect.
Last year, we were on a nother flight that had a layover in Japan and we were all excited about that too. We ran to those neat vending machines to get the children drinks that they had remembered and little snacks...we really hope to go again.

this is beautiful. every word of it. i can feel how moved you were through your writing. and i can't wait to hear more.

tonight, as we sat down to dinner, i told my husband and my kids about itadakimasu - what it means, where it comes from. and we said it together before we began the meal. such a blessing, that word. so glad you shared it here.

Wow, Stefani! It is amazing to experience Japan through your eyes. I have never been out of the country and it is something I crave... some day. Japan would be ONE of my chosen destinations. Lovely to have you home safe and changed.
