Colorized.
I think I'd like to be her when I grow up
This little lady was sketched in pencil on Strathmore Bristol Smooth 300 series paper, inked in with an XS Faber-Castell PITT artist pen in Black 199 and watercolored with Daler Rowney Artists' Watercolors.

Stefani,
What do you use to draw with? Colored pencils? I really enjoy your doodlebugs.
Hear! Hear!
She’s purty adorable. She reminds me of my daughter.
Too cute! Thanks for sharing her. She brings a smile to my face!
I think I saw her at a swim meet two weeks ago…….
seriously.
Hi Sarah!
I went back and edited the post to include all the materials that I used.
Thanks so much for your encouragement!
she’s a keeper, for sure. do you remember the movie “explorers”? came out back in the eighties. river phoenix AND ethan hawke were in it. the movie popped in my head when i saw your little lady because in the movie, three boys build a space rocket out of junk. i should see if netflix has the movie and get it for my kids (and myself).
Netflix DOES have it! I know this because we got it from them a while back. I loved that movie so much as a kid (probably in large part due to the “fine” cast
I have to say though, watching it as an adult, I felt like the movie went awry somehow once they got to space. I liked it better when they were on the ground planning and dreaming. I’m sure there’s a lesson in there somewhere.
She’s great! I’m sure she has a story to tell!
She’s adorable! Kind of reminds me of the little girl in the movie Up, all quirky and full of sass.
love. man, i wish i could draw like you. ::sigh::
What a fun neighbor she would be!
You should really become a book illustrator! Oh! If only I could draw! That would be my dream job!
