64 million happy, hopeful hearts versus 56 million people who are disappointed and concerned.
Let us no longer be divided, us against them.
Let us now become, "We" again.
We the people, ready to work, side by side.
Let us now turn all that passion and vitriol into industry.

Great post. One of my favorites on the election results so far.
I just love coming by here for so many reasons. But today the reason is because when I see what your three boys are up to it wisks me back a few years, to when my three boys were their age. When they would spend hours using the “banger” to put nails in a board. And the “family movie night” post resonated as well. I see what fine young men I’ve got and yes I am proud of my younger self and marvel at the intuition I had in raising them despite all my insecurities. Thanks!

I love the title of this post. I am often amazed and inspired by the focused industriousness of my children, both when they are doing “work” created out of nothing for the sheer joy of it, or labor that has a concrete accomplishment in mind.
Beautiful. Because the fact is, no matter what your sentiments are about the turn out, it is in fact the turnout and nothing is gonna change it. So for those who are celebrating, celebrate. For those who are mourning, mourn but do it quickly and then let’s all do as you say and grab hands and get to work!
