Pronunciation: \‘in-(?)d?s-tre\
Function: noun
1: diligence in an employment or pursuit ; especially : steady or habitual effort
2 a: systematic labor especially for some useful purpose or the creation of something of value
… even when the "useful purpose" is just the gathering of gladness at the work of one's hands.
an, um, tongue.
May we all be so committed to the joy of work, the slow and steady, determined chipping away at the enormous task of returning this country to it's glory.
May it no longer be blue vs. red,
64 million happy, hopeful hearts versus 56 million people who are disappointed and concerned.
Let us no longer be divided, us against them.
Let us now become, "We" again.
We the people, ready to work, side by side.
Let us now turn all that passion and vitriol into industry.

YEAH!!!!!!
Love the last pic:0)
Amen. We’re of like mind today – you and I!
Well said, friend.
amen.
I found your blog via Sew, Mama, Sew and I have been sitting here reading it for the past 2 days! What a wealth of information! I love all of the projects you do with your little ones. My only suggestion for your site would be for you to add a “search” option so your loyal readers can easily find past posts. I believe you are able to do this with typepad because another blog that I read just did this: http://angrychicken.typepad.com/angry_chicken/page/2/) I am definately adding your blog to my daily read list! Thanks for sharing with all of us!
Stephani, when you said on your last post that you are only 34 (I’m 36), I said to myself, wow. What a woman. You do so much, know so much, make things so beautifully, have so much wisdom and a way of writing and expression that I deem gifted. Thanks for the continuous inspiration and happy belated birthday!
Amen.
Well said Stephani!!
Great post. One of my favorites on the election results so far.
I just love coming by here for so many reasons. But today the reason is because when I see what your three boys are up to it wisks me back a few years, to when my three boys were their age. When they would spend hours using the “banger” to put nails in a board. And the “family movie night” post resonated as well. I see what fine young men I’ve got and yes I am proud of my younger self and marvel at the intuition I had in raising them despite all my insecurities. Thanks!
Well said!!
absolutely, stefani. divided we fail, united we stand. YES…we can! (p.s. still need your mailing address so i can send your ostheimer knight to you.
)
Just had this very discussion with my own little bunch.
Great post today!
VERY VERY well said!
Yes! We’ve been saying aloud those very same sentiments around our place! Beautifully written as usual.
wonderful pictures today. love that concentration!
Your boys are so beautiful.
Great post!!!
i’m ready!!!
Amen! And I’m ready to get to work too!
Great post!!!
Amen! We need to hear more of this and move on.
I love the title of this post. I am often amazed and inspired by the focused industriousness of my children, both when they are doing “work” created out of nothing for the sheer joy of it, or labor that has a concrete accomplishment in mind.
Beautiful. Because the fact is, no matter what your sentiments are about the turn out, it is in fact the turnout and nothing is gonna change it. So for those who are celebrating, celebrate. For those who are mourning, mourn but do it quickly and then let’s all do as you say and grab hands and get to work!
I’ll raise my glass to that.
I’ll clink my glass against Amy’s!
Well said.
you are so right.
i just wish everyone felt the same way.
Yes! Bless you, Stefani.
Beautifully put.
my youngest does the tongue thing too. So cute!
