Remember Granny's birthday garden that we planted a month ago?
Well we thought for a little bit that maybe our sneaky Granny had replaced those plants with some new and bigger ones.
We're standing in the exact same spot!
My Luke, the farmer among us, has decided that there's no place but East Texas for his future farm.
Considering that nine generations of his family got their start in that same soil, I'm thinking it's a pretty good spot for growing roots as well as vegetables.

Nine generations? That’s pretty impressive! I must get on that family history research.
They are some fine plants!
Love the roots you are nurturing!
Not many things bring little tears but this did! I think it was the nine generations part! Thanks so much for sharing!
What a great follow up!
Beautiful garden! I can’t wait for mine to look like that. (fingers crossed)
That’s a lovely garden! East Texas does seem like a great place for growing. Although there’s never really anyplace like home for any of us, no matter where that is.
Wow, that garden is growing! And I’m loving this little small-wonder series- might be partial to it because of the name
what a sweet handmade gift. and what a lucky granny!

that is amazing! what a special picture of all you gardeners.
Sweet Luke will make a great 10th generation farmer. I think the boys are growing as quickly as the plants. Great followup story. Thanks.
What a thriving family and garden. I am so glad that I stumbled across your blog (actually, I think God dropped you right into my lap
What a refreshing evening I have had, getting to know your family. What a terribly gifted woman you are…your husband and children are indeed blessed.
