About Us

Hi there! And welcome to Blue Yonder Ranch!

I’m Stefani, wife to filmmaker Eric, and mother to three rowdy men-in-the-making, Luke, James and Ryder.

I have been many things – grocery bagger, dog washer, babysitter, student, teacher, camp counselor, secretary, publicist, freelance writer, event planner, media trainer, aspiring artist and photographer. And while some of those skills have served me well (mainly the grocery bagging and dog washing ones) none of them really fully prepared me for the awesome job of being a mother to my three sons. Being a mother means doing all those jobs and no less than 20 more, at once, for the most important people in the world.

Mostly, I’m just a regular mom, trying to help her kids find their way… and trying not to lose her own in the process.

I’m passionate about teaching my kids to know their way around the kitchen. I want them to know too how all that food wound up in the pantry in the first place.

I’m eager to introduce them, one spider web at a time, to the wonder of the natural world.

I’m awestruck by the never ceasing curiosity of children, and desperate to help them hang on to it.

I’m inspired by the creative energy of young people, and so grateful to spend my days alongside them drawing, painting, sewing, woodworking or whatever it is that those busy little hands are working at.

I’m hoping to pass on my family’s heritage and traditions in a way that will seal them up in my boys hearts.

All of those passions and desires, and the work of each and every set of hands and each little heart at Blue Yonder has been poured into the making of our blog and Book of Days.
